Coney Sauce (Party Line Deli)

Ingredients

  • 4 Cups Finely Chopped Spanish Onions
  • 4 pounds Ground Beef
  • 3 Tablespoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Large Handful Crushed Oregano
  • 1 6 Oz Can Tomato Paste
  • 4 Cups Hot Water
  • 2 Tablespoon Kitchen Bouquet Browning & Seasoning Sauce
  • 5 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Butter

Directions

  1. Fry onions in butter until caramelized and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in onion drippings and then mash up with a potato masher until small and crumbly
  3. Add Onions and remaining ingredients.

Stir well and simmer for about 1 hour.

  1. Keeps in fridge for up to 5 days and freezes well.
