Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 tbsp butter or vegan butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for low-carb)
  • 1/2 cup water or milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • Blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping
  • Celery sticks to serve

Directions

Preheat oven to 450°F (or air fryer to 400°F).

  1. Whisk flour, water/milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into a batter.
  2. Dip cauliflower florets in batter, shaking off excess. Spread on greased baking sheet.
  3. Bake 20 minutes (air fryer 15 min), flipping halfway, until golden.
  4. Mix hot sauce and melted butter. Toss baked cauliflower in sauce.
  5. Return to oven/air fryer 5 more minutes. Serve with dipping sauce and celery.

Notes

For extra crispiness, let battered cauliflower sit on a wire rack for 5 minutes before baking.
