Frappuccino, Strawberry, Starbucks

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh strawberries
  • ½ cup milk (whole milk provides the creamiest result)

¼ cup heavy cream

  • 1-2 Tbsp. sugar to taste or…
  • 2-3 Tbsp. strawberry puree or syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla syrup or…
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon sugar)
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum (a common thickening agent in store-bought versions)
  • Topping: Whipped cream and fresh strawberry slices

Directions

Combine ingredients

  1. In a high-speed blender, combine the ice, milk, strawberries, strawberry puree/syrup, and vanilla syrup (and xanthan gum, if using).

Blend

  1. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, with no ice chunks remaining. This can take up to a full minute.

Adjust

  1. Taste the mixture and add more sugar or syrup if you prefer it sweeter. If the consistency is too thick, add a splash more milk; if too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend again.

Assemble and Serve

  1. Pour the mixture into a tall glass. Top generously with a swirl of whipped cream and garnish with extra strawberry slices or a drizzle of strawberry syrup.
